this is what I have done today - I like the second one......but feel it needs more; I just don’t know what that means yet!
not sure if you can see the little shiny beads that go all the way around the heart, which is needle felted
the first image is the one I posted the other day.......feeling I should leave it alone, start something else, go back to it and then see what happens
well, this is what happened and I am not liking it - but oh well - can’t win em all!

here are my photos of the stuffed hearts that will be on sale in the Buttercup Café in February
I also hope to have some small “heart-inspired” fibre pieces hanging there too (and for sale!)
the photos were taken courtesy of Pastorale Antiques, which is situated next to my studio

well, I was right in thinking I would put the previous piece aside.......so this is what I have been working on today - pretty sure some beading needs to happen......and more stitching - machine for sure
and possibly embroidery? oh and the shape of the heart is a little suspect

am slightly worried that it might look a little bloody and veiny......oh well, makes it more interesting and less saccharine!

still am going to photograph my stuffed hearts - so you will be able to see those soon too

5pm and it is still light outside - woo-hoo!! altho it quickly went dark......and cold

thanks for stopping by and seeing what I have been up to

I am supposed to be doing some “hearty” pieces to hang in the café next to my studio for February, but am not feeling very.......“hearty” - this is what I have come up with so far....but am not lovin it
I think I will let it sit for a bit and start on something else and see what happens
I also made some stuffed hearts for Xmas tree ornaments - but will be hanging those in the café too - will take some photos of them and post soon

this past weekend, S and I went looking for the seal - I heard it had swum up from the coast and was hanging out on some docks down the river
we never saw it, but I did get a chance to use my new camera in the twilight - Polaroid PoGo
but as you can see, I haven’t quite got the hang of it!

we realised it was starting to get quite dark, so we splodged our way back through the mud before it was too dark to see anything
and back to the house for some lovely lamb, sautéd brussel sprouts, sweet potato mash and chicory with blue cheese - swished down with a Sicilian merlot, given to us by some very nice Italians!

I crossed 3 things off my to-do list altho none of them had to do with the projects I really need to get started on - I am having the most difficult time getting started (as usual) I packed away everything for the Xmas Fair and now feel daunted by the task of figuring out where I put everything and getting it all back out again......

hello again-
thank you for stopping by

I am stuck at home today, waiting for various deliveries - and hope to use this time to think about and plan some projects I have in mind -

As I get them started, I will post my progress in photos - so, please keep checking back to see what I have been doing!

well, so much for raring to go!
am having quite a difficult time getting myself together

went on a lovely holiday to Venice - oh! such a beautiful city! altho, it did take me almost 24hrs to get there.......my husband was there on his own for 2 days before I could meet him

snow keeps falling, which is pretty......but seems to keep me in a state of suspension

will keep trying to rearrange my studio and get back to work
